Step-by-Step Instructions for Measuring Blinds and Curtains
For Blinds:

Inside Mount:
- Measure the inside width of the window frame at three points: the top, middle, and bottom. Use the smallest of these measurements when placing your order.
- Measure the height at three locations: left, center, and right. Take the shortest height as your reference.
Outside Mount:
- Measure the width where you want the blinds to cover, adding an extra 3-4 inches on both sides of the window frame for better coverage.
- Measure from the desired spot where you will hang the blinds to where you want them to drop. Remember to add extra length if you’re mounting them above the window frame.
For Curtains:
For Curtains:
Width:
- Measure the width of the rod, not the window. If you don’t have a rod, measure the width of the window and add 8-12 inches on each side so your curtains can hang off the window when open.
- For fullness, ensure the total curtain width is 2 to 2.5 times the width of the window.
Length:
- Decide where you want your curtains to fall. Common lengths for a more traditional look are just below the windowsill, just above the floor, or pooling on the floor.
- Measure from the top of the rod to your desired length.

- Always use a metal tape measure to ensure precision.
- Measure twice to ensure your dimensions are accurate.
- Keep in mind any potential obstructions, such as handles or radiators, that may affect the installation or functionality of your window coverings.
